Meta's Muse agent is coming to its glasses and will act on what you're looking at

Muse for Mac can now drive any app on your computer, less than a week after it launched.

At Connect on September 23, 2026, Meta said its Muse agent is coming to its AI glasses "in the coming months". You'll wake it by saying your agent's name, and it can act on what you're looking at. Meta's examples are a product on a shelf, a flier on a wall and a school supply list.

The bigger change for anyone already using it is on the Mac. Muse for Mac came out less than a week ago, and it can now drive any app on the computer, with your permission. Meta's recap says you can walk away and it keeps working through the tasks you've lined up.

What else Muse gets

Muse will get its own email address. It uses it to get things done, and you can write to it there too. There's a new voice mode you can talk to while it works in the background, and you can design its voice by describing it (faster, slower, a particular accent).

Shopping is where most of the new connectors are. Walmart, Best Buy, Sephora and Wayfair join the list, with Shop Pay and PayPal for payments. Notion, GitHub and Box arrive on the work side.

A small device, and a date Meta's blog doesn't give

Meta also showed Muse Charm, a pocket device for talking to your agent. The company's blog says only that it'll have more to share later this year. Zuckerberg was more specific on X.

The glasses got a medical feature too. Hearing enhancement is FDA-cleared software for adults with perceived mild to moderate hearing loss, and it's set up at home with no prescription. It'll cost $149.99 on supported glasses, or come with a Meta One subscription.

How it landed

Not everyone was watching for the hardware. One attendee who posts as kwindla went to Connect expecting AI demos, and came away calling it "the first time all the pieces of a consumer AI platform came together in one place." He wrote a long post that night, and I think his read on the money is the useful part: as he describes Meta's pitch, Muse is "free to use, because eventually Meta will take a tiny piece of every shopping transaction."

That's his reading. Meta's own recap doesn't talk about fees, though it does spend a long paragraph on shopping partners.

Muse on the glasses has no firm date yet. Meta VR Glasses, the 100-gram headset shown on the same stage, are due in spring 2027 at $1,299.99.
