Google's family AI agent has its own Google account, and up to six people share it
You cc it on the email from your kid's school, and it fills in the permission slip.
On September 17, 2026, Google Labs turned CC from a personal agent into one a household shares. Up to six people can join a single CC, and each of them decides what it gets to read.
CC also has its own verified Google Account now. That's how it shows up when it deals with the group, and Google says it won't act or share anything outside that group without permission.

The account is the part that surprised me. Something you cc on an email, add to a Calendar or share a Drive folder with has been handed the same kind of identity a person gets.
What it does with the morning
CC started as a personal agent. Google says the request it heard most was for it to do more to help run a busy home.
Every day it sends the group a brief called "Your Day Ahead": who needs to be where, plus what's still to do and what CC finished yesterday. It pulls dates and to-dos into a family Calendar or Task list and keeps them current as plans move.
It'll do the paperwork too. Google's examples are permission slips and activity registration PDFs, school supply shopping lists and weekly meal plans, and CC asks for whatever details it's missing before it files them.
CC only sees what each member chooses to share, such as emails from your child’s school, the local swim center, or the vet.
What it can see
Each member picks what to hand over and what to keep back, and can change that at any time. There's an auto-cc list for senders you always want shared, a kid's school or a travel booking, and every week you get a private list of new senders to wave through or ignore.
CC now has its own verified Google Account
Memory splits the same way. CC keeps what applies to the whole house, like the go-to grocery list, apart from what belongs to one person, like a dietary preference.
It only responds to group members, and will not take action or share information outside the group without your permission.
What's underneath
Each CC runs on its own isolated cloud computer, on Google's agentic harness Antigravity and the latest Gemini models. That's what lets it pre-fill a class registration PDF, or check live drive times from the Google Maps API between back-to-back activities.
CC is web and mobile, in the U.S., for people 18 and over with a personal Google account. Existing users get an email in the coming days to upgrade, and everyone else joins the waitlist.
