Amazon now lets Claude act on sellers' Amazon businesses, with a person approving each action
A seller can tell Claude to watch a category and reprice when it spots an opening, and Amazon's own assistant carries it out.
Amazon sellers can now run part of their Amazon business from Claude. On September 23, 2026, Amazon announced a Selling Partner plugin that connects a seller's Amazon data to outside AI tools, launching in its own Amazon Quick and in beta with Anthropic's Claude.
The plugin doesn't just read. Amazon says a seller's AI "can act on it, the same way Seller Assistant does inside Seller Central." That surprised me. Amazon is letting an assistant it doesn't run make changes in its store, with a person approving each action.

What sellers get
Seller Assistant is Amazon's own AI helper for sellers. It launched in 2023 and runs on Amazon Bedrock with Anthropic's Claude models. Amazon says sellers accept its recommendations over 90% of the time.
Two changes come with the plugin. The assistant now remembers each seller's pricing patterns, inventory cycles and growth goals, and that memory follows the seller into Quick or Claude. Sellers can also set up workflows that keep running when they're logged out. (Each one either just recommends or acts, the seller's choice, and acting still waits for approval.) Every action lands in an audit trail.

Why Claude first
Amazon says 90% of its selling partners already use third-party AI tools, and that many already run parts of their business through Claude. Eric Burns, Anthropic's field CTO, pitched the plugin as a way to put Amazon numbers next to the accounting and supplier data a seller has already connected.

Amazon says the outside connections don't change how it protects seller data, and that Seller Assistant keeps that data inside Amazon's infrastructure. I couldn't find anything in the post on what happens to a seller's numbers once they're sitting in a Claude conversation.
What comes next
Amazon says it'll add more third-party AI tools over time, but it doesn't name the next one. For now the plugin is in beta for sellers in U.S. stores, and the free year of Quick Plus is open to every primary account holder through December 31, 2026.
