ARTEX, the hacking agent that keeps turning up

Where it stands

CrowdStrike tied ARTEX to attacks on South Korean banks on October 7, and its author took the project closed-source a day later. On October 21 Microsoft named a China-aligned group (it tracks it as Storm-0940) that had used it against ConnectWise's Cloud Backup service.
